
About Gabrielle Higgins
Gabrielle Higgins became an associate at the firm in 2023 after serving as a public defender, trying cases in both felony and misdemeanor divisions on behalf of clients who could not afford counsel. She earned her J.D. from Howard University School of Law, where she represented tenants in D.C. Landlord Tenant Court through the Fair Housing Clinic, served as a staff editor on the Howard Law Journal, and worked as a legislative policy fellow in the District's Office of the Student Advocate. Raised in South Florida by Jamaican immigrant parents, she sits on the executive board of the T.J. Reddick Bar Association, coaches the Fort Lauderdale High School mock trial team, and has been named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.
