Dennis Hernandez

Dennis Hernandez is a fifth-generation native of Tampa, Florida, from a family with a long tradition of service in law enforcement and the military. He began practicing law at age 24 and, after four years of practice, founded Dennis Hernandez Injury Attorneys in 1996 at age 28. He earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University, then went on to earn law degrees from Florida State University College of Law and Harvard Law School. Dennis has practiced personal injury law in Florida for over 30 years, helping hundreds of families across Tampa Bay and the state recover substantial settlements and verdicts for injuries caused by others' negligence.

He is one of only 1,378 attorneys who have graduated from the Trial Lawyers College. The firm focuses on personal injury, medical malpractice, and product liability, with offices in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Bradenton, Fort Myers, Orlando, and Lakeland. Dennis is licensed in all Florida state courts, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He is an avid motorcyclist and his legal team has handled numerous motorcycle accident cases alongside car, truck, slip and fall, wrongful death, and medical malpractice claims.
