Matthew Riggs

Matthew L. Riggs is the Senior Partner at East Valley Injury Law in Arizona. He has been practicing law in Arizona for 27 years, focusing on personal injury cases throughout Arizona Superior Court, with extensive appellate experience.

Riggs has secured landmark Arizona Supreme Court victories that benefited consumers statewide. His work in State Farm v. Connelly led to legislation favorable to consumers, resulting in millions of dollars returned to Arizona residents from insurance companies. He also won Webb v. Gittlen, another Arizona Supreme Court case protecting consumer rights against the insurance industry.

He argues cases in front of the Arizona Appellate and Arizona Supreme Courts, and the Federal District Court. He is one of the few personal injury attorneys with the credentials and experience to practice in tribal court.

Riggs began practicing law in 1995. He grew up in Mesa, Arizona, and raised his six children in Gilbert. His firm has grown to nine attorneys with five offices across Arizona.
