About James Harrington

In 2001, James was hired by Geoffrey Fieger as a law clerk while in his second year of law school. He worked full-time while attending the University of Detroit Mercy Law School at night. He was a member of the National Moot Court Team, where he argued First Amendment issues at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. After passing the Bar, James was hired to join Fieger Law's team of trial lawyers. He has navigated complicated cases in federal court and state courts throughout Michigan.

James is also licensed to practice law in Wyoming and Illinois. He has also represented clients in state and federal courts in Ohio, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, Washington, D.C., Kansas and Pennsylvania. He is responsible for numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements, including verdicts of $17.5 million and $15.5 million in vehicle accident cases, $9.5 million in a general negligence case in 2016, and $3.5 million in 2018 in a federal civil rights case. He has also won several awards, including the annual Super Lawyers recognition.

James earned his undergraduate degree at Adrian College, dual majoring in Criminal Justice and Spanish. He also played football for four years and was a team captain during his senior season. Described as down-to-earth by his colleagues, James enjoys hunting and fishing and says, "There is nothing better than being a dad". He has also represented clients in state and federal courts on a pro hac vice status in: Ohio Florida Mississippi Tennessee Louisiana Washington, D.C. Kansas Pennsylvania
