Kenneth Pennywell

Kenneth B. Pennywell is a Senior Attorney at Frank Azar Car & Truck Accident Lawyers (Franklin D. Azar & Associates) in Aurora, Colorado, with extensive experience in personal injury, civil litigation, and attorney ethics. He has been with the firm since June 2000.

Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Pennywell earned his B.A. from Southern University in Baton Rouge in 1981 and his J.D. from Southern University Law Center in 1984. He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1985 and the Colorado Bar in 1992.

Early in his career, Pennywell served as a law clerk for the Louisiana State Senate (1984-1985) and as Assistant District Attorney for the 1st Judicial District in Caddo Parish, Louisiana (1985-1993), where he prosecuted major felonies including murders, rapes, and armed robberies. After relocating to Colorado, he worked from 1993 to 2000 with the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation as a trial attorney handling ethics violations.
