About Caitlin Malott
Caitlin A. Malott was raised in Joplin, Missouri and prior to attending law school, attended Truman State University, where she earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Economics. After clerking for a wide range of firms while attending UALR Bowen School of Law, Caitlin was drawn to the legal work at Gillispie Law Firm, as it called upon her desire to become an attorney in the first place: to help those who need it most. After graduating with honors and passing the Arkansas Bar Exam in 2025, Caitlin began her career as an attorney with the Gillispie Law Firm.
What Caitlin enjoys most about working with the firm is the compassion each staff member has for its clients. Caitlin understands the difficulties involved when events change the course of one's life and does her best to listen, learn, and take action to ensure that all clients receive the support and justice they need. Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys going on runs with her husband and traveling.

On February 16, 2016 Daniel Ryals dropped his healthy 9-month-old son at Wendy Jo Strother's unlicensed in-home daycare in Mena, Arkansas. That afternoon Strother's daughter carried the baby into the local hospital with multiple skull fractures and bleeding in his brain. He is permanently blind and brain-damaged. Strother pleaded no contest to permitting child abuse and got probation. In November 2025 a Polk County jury awarded the family $110,000,000 plus $40,000 in punitive damages.
