About Jed Cain

Jed Cain is a partner at Herman, Katz, Gisleson & Cain and an accomplished trial lawyer who has obtained multi-million-dollar jury verdicts and settlements across Louisiana. He grew up in Natchitoches, Louisiana and previously worked as a public school teacher before attending law school. He earned his B.A. from Hendrix College and his J.D. from Tulane University School of Law. He was admitted to the Louisiana bar in 2005. He is based in Natchitoches and serves clients throughout North and Central Louisiana. He is the co-author of Louisiana Personal Injury, a two-volume practice series published by Thomson Reuters that is widely used as a reference by Louisiana personal injury lawyers. He is regularly retained by other attorneys in Louisiana and other states as co-counsel on Louisiana personal injury matters. He was awarded the F. Scott Baldwin Award by the American Association for Justice, presented annually to the most outstanding young trial lawyer in the country. He is a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College, an invitation-only program founded by Gerry Spence. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Jimmy D. Long, Sr. Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts, on the Board of First United Methodist Church in Natchitoches, and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children.
