George A. LaMarca is Of Counsel at LaMarca Law Group, bringing more than 45 years of trial practice in personal injury, business, and professional malpractice litigation. He has handled some of Iowa's largest personal injury cases and most complex business litigation matters. LaMarca is board certified in Civil Trials and Civil Pretrial Practice by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, in Medical Malpractice Litigation by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys, and holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Notable case results
In a 2016 ruling that set binding Iowa precedent, the state Supreme Court affirmed that HealthPort Technologies could not charge patients more for copies of their medical records than the treating provider itself was legally permitted to charge.
A 1984 Polk County jury became the first in the nation to hold polyvinyl chloride wire insulation liable for fire deaths, finding six companies negligent in the 1978 blaze that killed ten Younkers department store employees.
