Matthew Shaffer

Matthew D. Shaffer is a managing partner at Schechter, Shaffer & Harris, LLP in Houston, where he has represented thousands of injured workers across the United States. He joined the firm in 1992 after beginning his career representing large corporate clients. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, with a particular focus on admiralty and maritime law. He successfully settled the largest single-victim Jones Act case on record for a client with a brain injury and played a significant role in major maritime litigation including the Deepwater Horizon explosion.
