About Charles Piccuta

Charles "Tony" Piccuta is a second generation attorney. He is the principal of the firm and lead trial attorney. He is an accomplished attorney both academically and in practice. He is one of few attorneys admitted to practice in four states having passed the bar exams of Arizona, California, Illinois and Nevada, all on the first try.

Tony has a top educational background earning his Bachelor of Science degree from California Polytechnic in San Luis Obispo, California where he also earned minors in business and psychology. Tony then went on to score in the top ninetieth percentile on his law school entrance exam and gained admission to Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington. Tony attended law school on a merit scholarship and graduated with honors. Tony began his law practice in downtown Chicago where he worked for a boutique personal injury law firm for two prominent Chicago attorneys.

While there, he independently handled a caseload of over thirty cases and made court appearances and attended meaningful hearings immediately after passing his first bar exam. Tony litigated and resolved dozens of personal injury cases in his two years at the firm through arbitration, mediation and trial. He also assisted the principal attorneys on multi-million dollar injury cases including catastrophic car accident injuries, brain injuries, and aviation accidents cases. Tony then relocated to Orange County, California where he took an attorney position with the national law firm of Houser & Allison.

While there, he primarily defended banks, mortgage services companies and other fortune 500 corporations in both state and federal court. He also tried multiple cases to verdict there and started the Arizona office of that firm, serving as managing attorney of all its Arizona cases. Taking this knowledge with him, Tony left that firm in 2013 to start his own practice specializing in representing individuals in personal injury cases.

He has obtained six figure jury verdicts in both state and Federal court, and has multiple published decisions in the federal courts of Arizona and the Arizona State Court of Appeals. He is active in the local legal community as a contributing member of the Arizona Association of Justice, Maricopa County Bar Association and Scottsdale Bar Association. Tony lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife, son and step-daughter and is a cancer survivor having beaten Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2013.
