About Gerald Brooks

Gerald Clark Brooks, Jr. grew up in Livingston, Alabama, and earned a B.A. from the University of Alabama in 1999 and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2002. After spending five years at a Birmingham insurance defense firm, he switched to representing plaintiffs, joining a Montgomery law firm in 2009. In 2013 he co-founded Serious Injury Law Group with Chuck James. Brooks focuses on wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases involving commercial vehicles, medical malpractice, and defective products.

He has obtained a $5 million wrongful death judgment and a $7.5 million wrongful death settlement involving a commercial vehicle, along with numerous other seven-figure recoveries. He has been named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, recognized as a Top Attorney by Birmingham Magazine, and named a Super Lawyer. He carries a 10.0 'Superb' Avvo rating.
