About Lacey Smith

Lacey Smith joined Tobias & Comer Law in October 2022 after spending the first part of her career at one of Mobile's preeminent insurance defense firms, where she was a partner and successfully represented large corporate clients in high-stakes lawsuits throughout the state and the country. Lacey is a Mobile native with more than 15 years of complex civil litigation experience, primarily in the areas of products liability, employment law, medical/professional liability, and toxic torts. She is also well-versed in handling cases on appeal, and has presented oral arguments before the Alabama Supreme Court and the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Lacey is eager to use the knowledge and skills gained from her years of defending corporate clients to advocate for injury victims and their families, with equally positive results. Her keen insight into how defense lawyers and insurers evaluate cases, and their litigation strategies, will be an asset to the clients of Tobias & Comer Law.

After graduating from UMS-Wright, Lacey attended Birmingham-Southern College and then earned her Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Lacey is licensed to practice law in both Alabama and Mississippi. Lacey was consecutively selected to the Mid-South Rising Stars Super Lawyers (aviation/aerospace law) from 2013-2022. Lacey and her husband, Glenn Smith, have two young boys who ensure that they never have a dull moment.
