About Reynolds Blankenship

Hailing from Fredericksburg, VA, attorney Reynolds Blankenship received his undergrad in political science and physics from the University of South Carolina before attending Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. At Loyola, Reynolds graduated summa cum laude and first in his class, and served as Articles Editor of the Loyola Law Review. He competed in London and Vienna as an oralist and brief writer on the moot commercial arbitration team, and received more than ten Law Excellence (CALI) awards. Following law school, Reynolds clerked for (later Chief) Justice Costa M. Pleicones of the South Carolina Supreme Court before entering private practice in 2006. Reynolds has worked at some of the most prestigious defense firms in South Carolina, but has also represented many injured plaintiffs throughout his career.

He has handled cases in every type of court in SC, at all appellate and trial levels, and has served as lead counsel in jury and non-jury trials throughout the state. Reynolds joined Yarborough Applegate in Summer 2019 to focus his practice on representing plaintiffs who have been injured due to the negligence of others or the sale of defective products. His experience as a defense lawyer in these fields contributes greatly to his skill in dealing with insurance companies who are fighting against his injured clients. Reynolds has presented at numerous legal education seminars on accident litigation and a lawyer's professional responsibility, and is active in the Charleston County Bar Association.
