Lawrence Buckfire

Lawrence J. Buckfire is the President and Lead Trial Attorney at Buckfire Law, an award-winning Michigan trial lawyer specializing in catastrophic injuries and wrongful death for over 37 years.

Buckfire earned his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University School of Law in 1989 and his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1986. He is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, the State Bar of Ohio, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.

Managing partner of the firm founded by his father in 1969, Buckfire holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating and is recognized in Best Lawyers in America for Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, and Product Liability, as a Super Lawyer (2013-2025), in America's Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and as the 2023 Lawyer of the Year for Product Liability Litigation.
