About Benjamin Boscolo

Benjamin T. Boscolo is the President and Owner of ChasenBoscolo, a nationally recognized trial lawyer with more than 35 years of experience fighting for injured workers and accident victims. Under Ben's leadership, the firm has grown to more than 30 attorneys. His practice covers workers' compensation, personal injury, and complex injury litigation including catastrophic injuries, traumatic brain injuries, construction accidents, trucking collisions, and premises liability.

Ben is a Fellow of the American College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers, the American Bar Foundation, and the Maryland Bar Foundation. He serves as Co-Dean and Faculty Member of the Keenan Trial Institute. Ben earned his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, where he received the Dean's Award for Professional Responsibility, and his B.A. from Lafayette College.

Verdict

In a unanimous 2012 ruling, the Maryland Court of Appeals established that professional football players injured during employment are entitled to state workers' compensation benefits, overturning a 1983 precedent that had shielded NFL clubs from such claims.
