Colin King

The President and a founding member of DKOW, Colin King has obtained many of Utah’s largest and most significant jury verdicts in product liability and other complex tort cases, including the first eight-figure tort verdict in the state’s history. Colin King is one of the most active and esteemed trial lawyers in Utah. As a founding member of DKOW, Colin has been instrumental in shaping the success and reputation of the firm. Beyond these notable achievements, Colin has consistently obtained multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements in personal injury and wrongful death cases.

His areas of expertise extend over product liability, medical malpractice, workplace injury, and civil rights. In a recent commendation, Colin has been named 2025 “Lawyer of the Year” in The Best Lawyers in America® for Medical Malpractice Law, Plaintiffs in Salt Lake City. A native of Utah, Colin’s early years were spent herding cattle on his grandfather’s ranch in the southern part of the state. He is admitted to practice in Utah, Texas, Colorado, and Wyoming, along with numerous federal courts and the U.S. Supreme Court. His professional affiliations include past presidency of the Utah Association for Justice, and membership in the Utah State Bar, the Salt Lake County Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.
