About Emily Nackos
Emily Nackos is an associate attorney who passionately fights for DKOW’s clients in complex cases of medical malpractice, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury. Emily’s legal career began at Utah Valley University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in legal studies. She then worked as a paralegal in private practice prior to law school. As a paralegal, she gained strong negotiating skills as she sought the best possible results for clients.
She cultivated a deep respect for clients who faced the difficult challenges associated with injury or the death of a loved one. These clients advanced her desire to obtain her law degree. Emily earned her law degree from UA Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law, a public service-based law school in Little Rock, Arkansas. She had the privilege of serving the Little Rock community and citizens of the state of Arkansas as a third-year student attorney in the Bowen Tax Clinic, providing access to justice for low-income individuals in need of legal representation against the IRS.
Simultaneously, Emily was immersed in complex litigation at Reddick Law, based in Little Rock, Arkansas. There, she utilized her skills in legal research and writing to advocate for individuals and families affected by nursing home abuse and neglect. Just three weeks prior to being sworn into the Utah State Bar, Emily participated in a two-week jury trial with DKOW, including the direct examination of witnesses.
She passionately cares for people facing difficult circumstances, which drives her zealous advocacy. Emily is a member of the Utah Association of Justice. Outside the office, she enjoys skiing, reading, and spending time with her family.
