About Matthew Piccirilli

Matthew Piccirilli is from Metro-Detroit. While growing up, and through high school, he was a multi-sport athlete. Sports taught him lessons of dedication, hard work, and teamwork. This carried over to his college career where he was again a decorated multi-sport athlete, while balancing a challenging curriculum and graduating with honors.

After college, Matthew gained an interest in policy and legal issues. He then earned his Juris Doctorate at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, graduating Cum Laude. While in law school, Matthew participated in several student groups and the Moot Court program. During this time, Matthew gained an appreciation for litigation strategy and being an advocate for clients.

Matthew has represented individuals, groups and corporations in complex, high exposure cases involving medical malpractice, premises liability, civil rights actions, automobile negligence and licensing matters. Numerous cases have been successfully tried to a jury verdict. Matthew has tried cases in Circuit Courts in the State of Michigan, and the United States Court.

Matthew is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan and United States District Court, Western District of Michigan. In his free time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his children. He also enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, mountain biking and golfing.
