Wil Florin

Wil H. Florin was born in Salzburg, Austria and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He received his B.A. from Ball State University, where he was captain of the varsity soccer team. He obtained his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 1980, where he won the school moot court competition. He co-founded Florin Roebig in 1985 and, in 1986 at age thirty, obtained what was then the largest jury verdict in Pinellas County history ($2.3 million).

In October 2018, Wil became only the 87th inductee to the Stetson University College of Law Hall of Fame. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by both the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and holds a Board Certification in Civil Pretrial Practice Advocacy from the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Wil has been named to Best Lawyers in America (Medical Malpractice Law, Plaintiffs) every year from 2008 through 2026.

He has obtained over 100 verdicts and settlements exceeding one million dollars, including 17 million-dollar jury verdicts, three of which exceeded $40 million. In March 2025, Wil was part of the trial team that secured a $200 million wrongful death jury verdict in Pinellas County, one of the largest of its type in U.S. history. He holds a black belt in Isshinryu karate and still plays soccer.
