Richard Zimmerman III

Richard “Richie” Zimmerman, III, obtained his law degree from Louisiana State University in 2007. He is licensed to practice in all Louisiana State and Federal Courts as well as the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Richie’s desire to become a trial lawyer and be in the courtroom developed during law school while working as a law clerk for trial lawyers. Upon graduating, Richie joined Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys and hit the ground running. Since 2008, Richie has obtained verdicts and settlements for his clients that total more than $500 Million.

Richie’s cases have been featured in legal publications numerous times, documenting the results he has obtained for his clients. At the age of 29, Richie was inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements. Less than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.

The National Trial Lawyers Association selected Richie to be named as one of the Top 40 Under 40 trial lawyers since 2012. Richie is married to Leigh Zimmerman, and they have five children. They are active members of St. George Catholic Church. When not practicing law, Richie also enjoys boating, fishing, hunting (manages Cypress Point Hunting Lodge in Clayton, Louisiana), and of course LSU Athletics!
