James Theisen

James K. Theisen is a Personal Injury Attorney at Hupy and Abraham, S.C., serving the firm's Illinois offices. With more than a decade of experience, he has handled insurance defense litigation, subrogation, and personal injury matters.

Theisen earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law, where he received the Phi Delta Phi Award for outstanding achievement in legal ethics and the Academic Achievement Scholarship. He also served as a student ambassador for SIU School of Law and participated in William & Mary School of Law's summer program in Madrid. He is admitted to the State Bars of Illinois (state and federal courts) and Missouri.

Theisen joined Hupy and Abraham in 2014 as an associate attorney in their Rockford office. He is a member of the Winnebago County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
