Matthew Sullivan

Matthew Sullivan is an attorney at O'Malley Tunstall PC in North Carolina, with approximately 30 years in practice. His work focuses on personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, slip and fall accidents, product liability, and workers' compensation cases.

Sullivan earned his B.S. in Administration of Justice and Public Affairs magna cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1990, and his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 1995. While in law school, he was a Wiggins Scholar, Editor-in-Chief of the Campbell Law Review, recipient of the Paul Dennis Award, and an International Order of Barristers inductee. He joined White & Allen in 1995.

He is admitted to all North Carolina State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Eighth Judicial District Bar Association, the Lenoir County Bar Association (Past President 1997-1998), the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (Board of Governors), and the Eastern North Carolina Inn of Court.

He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, has been named a North Carolina Super Lawyer (2017-2024) and listed in Best Lawyers in America for Product Liability Litigation since 2010, received the 2021 NC Advocates for Justice Ebbie Award, and has been recognized in NC Business Magazine Legal Elite for Litigation since 2013.
