Kenneth Pedersen

Kenneth L. Pedersen graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1972 and joined the firm of Parsons & Smith, where he was made a partner in 1973. He later joined Webb, Burton, Carlson, Pedersen & Paine, where he litigated several mass tort cases, including Toner v. Lederle, which resulted in a $1.2 million verdict in federal court in 1984 over the DTP vaccine. Pedersen has since tried numerous cases in front of juries both in and outside Idaho. In 1994 he obtained a $10 million punitive damages verdict in Walston v. Monumental Life Insurance Co. for the bad faith and fraudulent sale of insurance, and he has had numerous other verdicts in excess of $1 million. He is a recognized authority on bad faith litigation and has lectured on the subject at Idaho Trial Lawyers Association and Idaho Law Foundation seminars for decades.
