About Ricky Shelton

Ricky Shelton grew up in American Fork, Utah, and earned bachelor's degrees in psychology and economics from the University of Utah, graduating at the top of his class. He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, which ranks among the top ten law schools in the country. Early in his career he worked as a counselor and social worker for disadvantaged children and teenagers before completing a clerkship for a Utah federal judge and a stint at the U.S. Department of Justice. He subsequently joined a national law firm defending insurance companies, healthcare providers, and Fortune 500 businesses. He now represents individuals whose lives have been affected by the negligence or wrongdoing of others, bringing full-circle his commitment to working on behalf of the underdog.
