About Peter Dreyer

Peter Dreyer represents families who have lost loved ones as a result of medical malpractice, drowning incidents, trucking collisions and fires. Since joining the firm in 2001, he has recovered more than $225 million for his clients. Most recently, Peter secured one of the largest verdicts in Connecticut history - a $49 million medical malpractice verdict on behalf of a woman and her husband arising from the failure to properly screen for and timely diagnose cervical cancer. The verdict included a $10 million award for loss of consortium, the largest such award ever in Connecticut.

Peter has also argued before the Connecticut Supreme Court, where he successfully represented his client in Downs v. Trias et al., a significant medical malpractice case. Before entering private practice, Peter served as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, New York, one of the largest prosecutor's offices in the United States. He currently serves as President of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.
