About David McCormack

David P. McCormack has spent his 20-year career at SUGARMAN developing and trying complex personal injury cases, with particular depth in product liability, medical malpractice, and construction site matters. He has obtained the largest reported medical malpractice settlement in Massachusetts in 2025, the largest personal injury settlement or verdict in Massachusetts in 2022, and the second largest reported personal injury settlement in 2021. In 2019, he and his partner Ben Zimmermann obtained a $30.55 million medical malpractice verdict, one of the largest in Massachusetts history, on behalf of a child who suffered catastrophic brain injuries during labor and delivery. David joined SUGARMAN as an associate after graduating law school in 2003 and became a Principal in 2011.
