About Peter Meyers

Peter E. Meyers is a partner at Swanson Gardner Meyers Cohon PLLC, representing seriously injured individuals and families in personal injury, wrongful death, and medical negligence matters. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington in 1989 and his J.D. from Willamette University College of Law in 1993, when he was admitted to the Washington State Bar. Meyers joined the Swanson Gardner firm in 2008 and became a named partner in 2015. His practice focuses on catastrophic automobile accidents, traumatic brain injuries, defective products, and medical malpractice.

Known for a meticulous approach to case preparation, he has collaborated with firm partners to secure record-setting results throughout Washington State. His notable results include a $65.7 million settlement for a high-earning professional who sustained a traumatic brain injury after being struck by an ambulance, a $72 million jury verdict in the Sarah Wong wrongful death arising from a tower crane collapse with over $110 million in total recoveries, and a $16 million jury verdict against the State of Washington for a roadway design defect in a bicycle crash. Meyers has been recognized as a Washington Super Lawyer multiple years including 2007 through 2009, 2015, and 2019 through 2024, and previously received the Super Lawyers Rising Star designation in 2002 and 2006. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the American Association for Justice.
