About Bart Durham

Bart Durham (1935-2024) was the founder and face of Nashville-based Bart Durham Injury Law. Born March 5, 1935, in Ripley, Tennessee, he served in the U.S. Army for two years (including time in Germany) before passing the Tennessee Bar Exam in 1963. He served with the U.S. Department of Justice in Memphis, prosecuting and defending cases across 33 counties of West Tennessee, and as a prosecuting attorney in the Tennessee State Attorney General's office. He launched his personal injury firm in 1975, argued three cases before the United States Supreme Court, and was named a Senior Counselor by the Tennessee Bar Association. He passed away April 9, 2024, at age 89.
