About Jack Beam
Jack Beam founded Beam Legal Team LLC and has concentrated his practice on birth injury and medical malpractice litigation since 1983. He graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan with a degree in Political Science, earned undergraduate government credits at Harvard University, and received his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Northwestern University Law Review. While in law school he apprenticed with Jim Dooley, widely recognized as the father of product liability law. Before entering private practice, Beam served as a staff attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice Honors Program, Frauds Section of the Civil Division, recovering taxpayer funds under the False Claims Act from federal contractors.
He was later appointed by the U.S. Attorney in Delaware, prosecuting federal crimes including bank robbery, firearms violations, counterfeiting, and mail fraud, and eventually directed an FBI Strike Force focused on FHA/HUD program fraud. He subsequently spent years in private practice in Michigan and Colorado defending hospitals, physicians, and insurance companies before switching to plaintiff-side birth injury work. Working alongside Geoffrey N. Fieger, the Beam Legal Team has secured more than one billion dollars in combined verdicts and settlements for injured clients.
