Kathryn Sears

Kathryn Sears is a personal injury attorney at Buckingham & Vega Law Firm representing individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries caused by the negligence of others. She attended the University of New Mexico, then earned a Master's degree in Art History from the University of Illinois at Chicago before attending law school. At the University of New Mexico School of Law, she served as Editor in Chief of the 52nd Volume of the New Mexico Law Review, President of the Women's Law Caucus, and Secretary of the Student Chapter of the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. She published an article in the 51st Volume of the New Mexico Law Review on the use of preliminary hearings in the Second Judicial District.

Kathryn was recognized with the Margaret Keiper Dailey Award and the ALI/CLE Award Recognizing Excellence in Scholarship and Leadership. Prior to law school, she worked as an archivist. Outside of practice, she enjoys baking, mountain biking, and reading.
