Barry Scholl is the chair of Christensen & Jensen’s business section. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable Pamela Greenwood in the Utah Court of Appeals, practiced at a boutique securities law firm, and was a shareholder and business section chair at a full-service Salt Lake City-based law firm. Barry is a transactional lawyer specializing in business and corporate governance, contracts, trademark and copyright, nonprofit law, technology law, media law, and real estate. Regardless of the area, he focuses on remaining accessible and providing exceptional personalized service to each client.
He represents clients throughout the state of Utah in numerous areas including technology, construction, retail, healthcare, non-profit, manufacturing, the arts, finance, advertising, and hospitality, among many others. He has negotiated, drafted, reviewed, and revised thousands of business and personal contracts and related agreements, including LLC and corporate documents, purchase contracts, licenses, leases, and HOA documents. Before attending law school, Barry worked as a magazine editor and communications professional. In addition to a JD, he holds a Master of Professional Communication degree from Westminster College (now Westminster University) and an MFA from the University of Utah.
