About Britney R. Pennycook

Britney R. Pennycook graduated cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2018. Britney joined Cooney & Conway as a law clerk in 2016 and returned as an attorney in July of 2024. Britney practices in all areas of personal injury law including products liability, construction negligence, premise liability, motor vehicle negligence, federal civil rights, animal control act, ride share, toxic torts, and legal malpractice. Prior to joining Cooney & Conway, Britney worked as an associate attorney at Corboy & Demetrio, a plaintiff's personal injury firm in Chicago, where she represented victims of catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death. Prior to that, she worked at another plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Chicago, Phillips Law Offices, where she worked on matters including multi-district litigation cases involving transvaginal mesh implants, and federal civil rights cases.

Britney was selected to the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers "Ones to Watch in America" in the area of Personal Injury Litigation , Plaintiffs, a prestigious nationwide legal directory. In addition, she was selected to Lawdragon 500 X , the Next Generation, a guide of the top 500 up-and-coming attorneys nationwide. Since 2022, Britney has been selected to Illinois Rising Stars, which is limited to the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state. Also, in 2022, she was appointed to serve on the Chicago Bar Association's Judicial Evaluation Committee.
