Justin Selep graduated cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law, where he won numerous awards including the Pretrial II Jurisprudence Achievement Award. He was also the first student-athlete in Michigan State University history to be both an active NCAA athlete and a law student simultaneously. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Management) with Highest Distinction. He is licensed in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and New Jersey.
