Matthew Carty

Matthew J. Carty earned a degree in Legal Communication from Ohio University before receiving a full-tuition scholarship to the University of Akron School of Law. After clerking at an insurance defense firm and practicing there briefly after passing the bar, he joined Elk & Elk, where he now represents clients in motor vehicle accidents and dog bite cases. Matt uses his insurance-defense background to benefit plaintiffs. He has been on the Ohio Super Lawyers list since 2021 and was an Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2013 to 2017. He is a member of the Ohio Bar Association and the Akron Bar Association.
