About Mark Gray

Mark Gray has spent more than 30 years representing clients in complex litigation. He filed his first class action in 1992, a Section 1983 wrongful-strip-search case against Jefferson County Jail that settled for $12 million, and since then has served in leadership roles on some of the nation's largest class actions and multi-district cases. His work spans antitrust, consumer fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and medical malpractice. He served as co-lead counsel in In Re: Managed Care Litigation (MDL No. 1334), a case that produced billions of dollars in recoveries for health practitioners against six of the nation's largest health insurers.

He was appointed to conduct offensive discovery against Cardinal Health in the national opioid litigation and against Anthem in the Blue Cross Blue Shield Antitrust MDL 2406. In 1999, he took a medical malpractice and bad-faith case to trial and obtained a $13.1 million jury award, which at the time was among the largest injury verdicts in Kentucky. Mark holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, has been selected for the Lawdragon 500, named to the Top 50 Attorneys in Kentucky by SuperLawyers, inducted as a Fellow in the International Society of Barristers, and recognized in Best Lawyers in America. He is licensed in all state and federal courts in Kentucky, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
