Rick W. Scott

Rick W. Scott is a partner at Hardison & Cochran in North Carolina. He joined the firm in 2017 and became a partner in 2024. His practice focuses on civil litigation, personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, and mass torts.

A lifelong North Carolinian, Scott earned his B.A. from North Carolina State University in 2006 and his Juris Doctor from Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2009. He was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2009.

Scott began his legal career in Brunswick County with a general practice firm, then moved to a Winston-Salem firm specializing in civil litigation and family law, where he gained experience defending insurance companies before transitioning to plaintiff personal injury work.

He has been recognized in Best Lawyers (2024-2026) and named to the North Carolina Super Lawyer Magazine Rising Stars List in 2018 and 2019.
