About Mary Grace Ruden

Mary Grace Ruden is a cum laude graduate of Southwestern University and earned her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, where she received the Order of the Barristers honor and won the Lewis F. Powell, Jr. Excellence in Advocacy Award twice. She is a published author in social justice reform and mental health advocacy. Before joining Jim Adler & Associates, Mary Grace practiced criminal defense for more than 20 years, trying numerous cases to verdict.

She was a founding member of the Harris County Public Defender's Office. Mary Grace is licensed to practice law in Texas, in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and before the Supreme Court of the United States. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
