About Frederick Smith

Frederick Bruce Smith is Senior Trial Counsel at the Law Offices of Jacob Emrani. He earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. Smith is a member of the state and federal bars of California, New York, and Pennsylvania, and brings more than 20 years of jury trial experience that spans both plaintiff and defense work. Before joining the firm he served as a Senior Trial Specialist at CNA Insurance, where he handled construction injury, medical malpractice, nursing home, product liability, premises liability, and commercial contract matters from inception through trial and appeal, averaging five trials per year including multi-million dollar claims. He has also served as a managing editor at Matthew Bender and as Interim Dean and Professor at the International Pacific School of Law, and as a court-appointed arbitrator and mediator.
