About John Taylor

John C. Taylor is a nationally recognized trial lawyer and co-founder of Taylor & Ring, which he started with David Ring in 2002. He has tried more than 140 cases to verdict across an unusually broad range of matters: police shootings and civil rights, sexual abuse, serious personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, insurance bad faith, and employment. He began his career with the Sacramento County Public Defender's Office, later became a founding partner of Greene, Broillet, Taylor & Wheeler, and has been named Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. He has been a Southern California Super Lawyer every year since 2004, was named to the Lawdragon Legends list in 2022 and the Lawdragon Hall of Fame in 2026, and received the Daily Journal's California Lawyer of the Year (CLAY) award in 2025. He holds the rank of Diplomate in the American Board of Trial Advocates and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
