Sonya Ostovar

Sonya Ostovar is the Managing Partner at Taylor & Ring. Her practice focuses on representing both minors and adults in sexual misconduct cases. Her results include a $100 million judgment for a young girl sexually abused by her jiu jitsu coach, the $97.5 million Santa Monica PAL settlement in which she represented more than 30 plaintiffs abused by Eric Uller, and a $20 million settlement against LA County DCFS on behalf of the family of 4-year-old Noah Cuatro.

She was also on the trial team that won a $45.4 million verdict against LA County DCFS, the eighth largest verdict in California in 2018, and secured an $8 million settlement that was the largest individual sexual abuse settlement the Archdiocese of Los Angeles had ever agreed to. She has been recognized by Southern California Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America Ones to Watch, and Lawdragon's 500 Leading Civil Rights and Plaintiff Employment Lawyers, and serves on the CAALA Board of Governors. She earned her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude in philosophy from UCLA.
