David Ring

Dave Ring is a plaintiff's personal injury trial lawyer and co-founder of Taylor & Ring, the firm he started with John C. Taylor on a handshake in 2002. Over more than 30 years he has become one of the nation's leading advocates for survivors of sexual abuse and assault, representing children and adults in cases against schools, churches, youth organizations, and other institutions, while also handling major personal injury, wrongful death, vehicle accident, premises liability, product liability, and civil rights cases. His results include a $102.5 million verdict for two former Dartmouth Middle School students in Jane Doe 1 & 2 v. Union School District, a $100 million settlement for men molested as boys by a Santa Monica police civilian employee, and the largest school bullying settlement in the country at $27 million.

He represented Jane Doe 1 in the Harvey Weinstein criminal case in Los Angeles. California Lawyer named him Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year, the Daily Journal has listed him among the Top 100 lawyers in California, and he served as President of CAALA in 2016. He is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and ABOTA, and graduated cum laude from USC and Order of the Coif from USC Law School.
