Brendan Gilbert

Brendan Gilbert is a partner at Taylor & Ring who handles cases involving the sexual abuse of minors, sexual assault and harassment, products liability, and complex personal injury actions with catastrophic injuries. He has been the handling attorney on numerous cases resulting in eight-figure and seven-figure settlements, has second chaired multiple personal injury trials to verdict, and was lead counsel on an arbitration that produced a seven-figure award. He was the handling attorney on Doe v. Lawndale Unified School District, a 2021 published California Court of Appeal opinion that significantly shaped how sexual abuse claims by minors against school districts are evaluated.

His results include a $22 million wrongful death recovery for the parents of a young man killed at a construction jobsite and a $10 million settlement against Lucia Mar Unified School District for a special needs student abused by her bus driver. He has been named to Lawdragon's 500 Leading Civil Rights and Plaintiff Employment Lawyers and Southern California Super Lawyers. He earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2010 and graduated cum laude from UC Irvine in 2007.
