Chelsea Townsend

Chelsea D. Townsend is an attorney at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, focused on car accidents, personal injury, and workers' compensation matters. She joined the firm in 2024.

Townsend earned her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016 and her Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina in 2018, where she was a National Order of Barristers Dean's Scholar.

Before joining Farrin, Townsend worked as a Resident-in-Practice Student Attorney at the Wake County Public Defender's Office, served as Compliance Officer for the Amateur Athletic Union in Florida, and practiced as a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney.

She is admitted to practice in North Carolina and the District of Columbia. Her professional memberships include the North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association, and the Mecklenburg County Bar Association. She is also a Certified NFLPA Contract Advisor.

She has volunteered with Just Grace (Cape Town, South Africa) and supports sports equity organizations Keep It PlayHER and BeyondFour.
