Elizabeth Ligon

Elizabeth Ligon is a Partner at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, with more than 10 years of experience in workers' compensation law. She joined the firm in 2023, after 10 years as a defense attorney.

Ligon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010 and her Juris Doctor from the UNC School of Law in 2013.

She is admitted to the North Carolina Bar and is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law. She is a member of North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the North Carolina Bar Association (Workers' Compensation Council).

Ligon has been recognized in Best Lawyers for Workers' Compensation Law - Claimants (2025-2026). She has presented extensively on workers' compensation topics, contributed to LexisNexis publications (2018-2023), and participated in panel discussions on multi-jurisdictional issues and claims management.
