Tom Wilmoth

Tom Wilmoth is a Partner at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin. He has 18+ years of legal experience, including more than 10 years in corporate complex litigation on the defense side before joining the firm in 2021.

Wilmoth earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2002 and his Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law in 2010.

He is admitted to the North Carolina Bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina. His memberships include the North Carolina Bar Association, the Forsyth County Bar Association, and North Carolina Advocates for Justice.

He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America for Consumer Protection Law (2025-2026).

Notable case work includes the Winston Weaver fertilizer plant fire settlement and other mass torts and federal multidistrict litigation. He has co-authored Amicus Curiae Briefs filed with the North Carolina Supreme Court and presented "How to Catch a Copycat - And How to Avoid Being One" (2019).
