About Ira Leesfield

Ira H. Leesfield is the founder and managing partner of Leesfield & Partners. He is board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocates, a past President of the Florida Justice Association, and has served as Senior Florida Governor of the American Association for Justice for over 20 years. He was nominated as Lawyer of the Year by Trial Lawyers for Public Justice after obtaining a $19.8 million verdict against Honda Corp., and was selected as one of America's Top Ten Trial Lawyers.

He has received the Anti-Defamation League's Jurisprudence Award (2001), the Melvin Belli Award (2002), the Al J. Cone Lifetime Achievement Award (2004), and the American Jewish Committee's Judge Learned Hand Award. He served President Clinton on the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and the Presidential Advisory Commission on Holocaust Assets from 1992 to 2000, co-authoring the President's Report on Holocaust Assets. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law and a Life Member of the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.
