Anisa Omar

Anisa Omar is an associate attorney at Meshbesher and Spence with a practice focused on motor vehicle accidents, personal injury, and medical malpractice. Before law school she served as Dean of Students at a Minneapolis charter school working with first-generation Somali American students and families. During law school she externed for Judge Jerry Blackwell on complex civil matters involving jurisdiction, constitutional due process, and habeas corpus claims, clerked at the Minnesota Attorney General's Office handling habeas corpus and consumer protection matters, and developed federal advocacy experience through the Federal Commutations Clinic. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she served as Student Government Association President, and her J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
