About Rick Houghton

Rick J. Houghton is an Attorney in the litigation division at Michigan Auto Law's Grand Rapids office, focused on protecting the rights of injured auto crash victims.

Houghton earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Minnesota School of Law, with study at Willamette University College of Law (top 10 ranking) and the Universita Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan for EU Law. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from Michigan Technological University. He is admitted to practice in Michigan, Minnesota, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.

Houghton previously worked with a premier Minneapolis personal injury firm, securing millions in settlements. He has been named to Grand Rapids Magazine's Top Lawyers list (2021-2025) and Super Lawyers Rising Stars annually since 2014.
