About Michael Pines

Michael Pines is the Founder and Senior Partner of Pines Salomon Injury Lawyers, APC, a San Diego personal injury firm he founded in 1992 that has recovered over $100 million for injured clients. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1957 and raised in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Louisiana, Michael earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine in 1984, then attended UC Hastings College of the Law on a full three-year scholarship, earning his J.D. in 1987. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1989 (Bar No. 140602). After graduation, Michael began his legal career at major law firms specializing in insurance defense, representing Fortune 500 companies including Pepsi Cola and Arrowhead Water, real estate developers, and HMOs, and handling medical malpractice cases for doctors, dentists, and pharmaceutical companies. In 1992 he changed sides to fight for consumers, leveraging his insider knowledge of insurance company tactics to advocate for injury victims.
