About Steve Estey

Steve Estey co-founded Estey & Bomberger, LLP in 1994 with law school friend Mike Bomberger. He specializes in cases other attorneys view as unwinnable, with a particular focus on institutional childhood sexual abuse, catastrophic personal injury, automobile accidents, slip and fall, products liability, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, and wrongful death. Steve is one of only 10 Board Certified Trial Attorneys in San Diego and holds an AV Preeminent rating. He is a two-time recipient of the 'Trial Attorney of the Year' award from the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and has received four Outstanding Trial Lawyer Awards from the same organization.

His first childhood sexual abuse case resulted in a $30 million verdict. Since 2010 he has been named to the National Trial Lawyers' Top 100, and since 2011 to 'The Best Lawyers in America.' He serves as a media expert on child sexual molestation in institutions and has presented at conferences including the National Center for Victims of Crime and the San Diego International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment.
